Same-Day Local Ground services account for a majority of Mid-Counties' business.
These services include Direct Express, 2-hour, 4-hour, 6-hour and 8-hour deliveries. Our
standard Same-Day rates cover service from San Francisco to Oakland to Monterey, and
Mid-Counties has divided these areas into 17 service zones. We also provide service to
cities outside our 17 service zones on a charge per mile basis.

Capabilities
With our crew of uniformed drivers and our fleet of delivery vehicles,
Mid-Counties can dispatch drivers to any location immediately. Our drivers stay in
constant contact with our dispatch office via two-way radios, which allows Mid-Counties to
update deliveries and provide customers with proof-of-delivery information instantly.
- Vehicles
- MCD has a fleet of pickup trucks, vans, box vans, and bobtails with lift
gates to deliver any piece of cargo ranging from envelops to large pallets of
material. Each truck is manned by a professional, uniformed driver.
- Radio-Dispatching
- The Company relies on a NexTel two-way radio system to stay in constant contact
with each driver. Our dispatchers can send and receive information immediately, to
modify an order or simply retrieve the status.
- Warehousing Space
- MCD has two warehouses that can be used for staging and storage.
- Service Agreements for Preferred Customers
- Mid-Counties Delivery Service provides service agreements for companies that need
regular service.
