MCD Acquires XP International, LLCSANTA CRUZ, Calif., Oct. 5 -- Mid-Counties Delivery Service, Inc. announced today that it has acquired the transportation business of XP International, LLC, which consists of domestic and international freight forwarding and international remail. These services will complement Mid-Counties' courier, regional trucking and domestic air freight activities, and allow the company to provide a full range of transportation services for its growing list of global customers. Peter Jepkes, the president of XP International, will manage the Sales and Customer Service departments for Mid-Counties Delivery Service. Mid-Counties Delivery Service, Inc., also doing business as MCD Air, is a specialty transportation company providing worldwide transportation services for all types of companies and industries, with facilities in San Jose and Santa Cruz. In addition to shipping, warehousing, order management, and logistics services, Mid-Counties now provides international express and international freight services, along with remail for the marketing departments of its global customers.
